BASONOVA invests in the future of biblical archaeology by funding scholarships for students to participate in overseas excavations.
During the summer of 2017, BASONOVA provided funds that permitted three students to excavate at the Canaanite site of Tel Kabri, in northern Israel. We also supported a SUNY student interning at the WF Albright Institute of Archaeological Research to excavate at Tel Megiddo. Our aim for the summer of 2018 is to award a record amount to support these scholarship; we ask for your support to accomplish this goal.
Excess annual proceeds from BASONOVA’s dues and our luncheon and lecture series are invested in scholarships. We encourage our members to make scholarship contributions through BASONOVA, so our resources can be pooled to make an investment in the next generation of biblical archaeology.
