BASONOVA invests in the future of biblical archaeology by funding scholarships for students to participate in overseas excavations.
During the summer of 2015, BASONOVA provided funds that permitted three students to excavate at the Canaanite site of Tel Kabri, in northern Israel. One scholarship recipient is studying for her bachelor’s degree; another is in a master’s program, and; our final recipient is finishing her doctorate.
Excess annual proceeds from BASONOVA’s dues and our luncheon and lecture series are invested in scholarships. We encourage our members to make scholarship contributions through BASONOVA, so our resources can be pooled to make an investment in the next generation of biblical archaeology.
